Win-River Casino in California to Build 84-Room Hotel

The tribe had originally planned a much larger, $90 million project that involved a much larger resort-style hotel and 2,000-seat entertainment center, but the weak economy caused them to scale plans back.
"This is a scaled-down version on where we were going; much more feasible than the first project," said casino General Manager Gary Hayward. "What we did was redraw and retool it and it's a nice project."
The tribe held a groundbreaking ceremony last week and construction is expected to begin soon.

The Redding Rancheria tribe will be moving forward with plans to construct a hotel at its Win-River Casino in Redding, California.
The $40 million project should be completed in February 2014 and the 84-room hotel will feature an outdoor pool, arcade, fitness center and spa.
