According to casino surveillance tapes, Encarnacion, 23, was swapping cards with Qing Zheng, a 41-year-old Cleveland man, at the poker table. Zheng is facing a separate trial. According to Encarnacion, she was offered the cards by Zheng, who also bought her beers and gave her $100 in chips, and had no idea she was doing anything wrong.
The Horseshoe Cleveland opened in May and was the first of Ohio’s four casinos to open. The Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati, the state’s fourth casino, is set to open March 4.
