Hollywood Casino in Columbus, Ohio Looking to Hire 600 New Employees
Most of the positions will be full-time and, because the casino is nonsmoking, Hollywood Casino will not be hiring individuals who smoke.
Hollywood will eventually have a total of 2,000 employees and the other 1,400 employees, who will be doing food service, maintenance, etc., will be hired in May or June. Dealers need to be hired early in order to be trained.
The new central Ohio casino will offer 160,000-square-feet of gaming and should be opening later this year.
“We’re hiring for personality, and we teach the technical side of the equation,” vice president and general manager of Hollywood Casino Columbus Ameet Pate said. “If you can have fun and be a good host, if you can do that, you’re already ahead of the game in the applicant pool.”
