Maryland Work Group Discusses Expanding The State’s Casino Gambling Options

Now the group faces the task of deciding if the state’s 67 percent tax rate on slots revenue should be reduced and if a casino should be built in Prince George’s County.

MGM Resorts International announced last week that, if the state allows table games and slashes its tax rate on slot proceeds, they plan to build an $800 million casino and resort at National Harbor in Prince George’s County.
