I have only played here three times,but I receive more benefits than other casinos. Excellent mail free play and comps for their gourmet restaurants. Tough to find a $5 blackjack table,but they did deal me 4 eights in Mississippi stud. Many games here, but one of my pet peeves is 6-5 blackjack which they offer. If people would boycott this ripoff of a game,the casinos would take it out.

Pala used to be a fun place to play slots...win some, lose some. as of 2011 they have tightened the slots so much, playing slots there now is a joke. I am a high limit player, and have lost over $400k in one year! They are greedy and have pushed many players out and down the road to other casinos.
Unless they "reset" their machines, I would advise anyone considering playing slots there, not to.

The buffet is really nice, the staff is friendly and helpful, no charges for ATM use, the place is alright but the slots are extremely tight, it is understood that not everyone will win but the slot machines don't even pay a small portion to continue playing and having fun; they simply take all the money you put into them, I guess they're just as tight as any other casino.

I really like PALA Casino, you have to drive like 45min from downtown San Diego....maybe 1 hour, but it is worth the long trip.

They have a lot of slots machines, you have a lot to choose from. The bathrooms are big and very nice and clean, they have bathrooms in the main entrance and in the middle of the casino.

This is the only casino where I just sat down, pulled the handle one time and won $100 in one pull, that thing happened to me twice on different days....

The ambiance is very comfortable and nice. The buffet is one of the best, great service, very clean, and the snack area has delicious food too. The band music is nice for the casino, it' not loud, it's the right music at the right volume.

The downside for me are the drinks, or the drink service, as i can remember there are no free drinks (coke, sprite) like Sycuan or Valley View, and if you want a beer.....you have to walk to the bar and to wait a moment until the barman is not busy...for me this is the only problem with Pala Casino....and another thing is that on friday and saturday night it is so crowed that you have wait, or walk around alot to find a machine that nobody is playing....

I can´t say anything about the table games cause I don´t play cards....etc.

So, i will recommend the buffet, slot machines, to drink a beer in the bar, to go for a snack.....but i don't recommend you to go during the weekend ....or from 12:pm until 5pm.....from there....it's going to be full....

The downside is the NON-smoking is the opposite side of the casino from the covered parking. I was with a handicapped person and it was a l-o-o-o-o-n-g walk. The good side is even the smoking section is airy, fresh and clean. I had fun there and will be returning.
