This is my closest casino and it is very beautiful along the river and all. My main complaint is the terrible pay rate for .25 & .50 video poker. Not even a couple higher paying machines to tempt me. I can't afford $1 machines often so I have to drive way out to Harrah's.
Big problems with smoke, Jesus. Come home smelling like a house fire.
Buffet is really first rate, new hotel & parking garage being built atm.
They are stingy on comps compared to Ameristar or Casino Queen.

My husband worked the Primary here in Missouri on Feb 7th, 2012. It didn't stand for anything here. My friend Bev stopped in
to vote for a useless primary and the headed over to River City. It is closer than Harrahs. As usual, I LOST $50.00 In no time.
The slots there are very tight. I will give them more, when they give me more. We were not there vey long. I have heard from
other people that River City is not a favorite of theirs.

My friend Jeanne and I went to River City on Tuesday the 24th for the buffet. It is a very good deal on their senior day, as the buffet is 1/2 off. The buffet was excellent. My friend doesn't gamble, so she has never been there. She was quite impressed by the casino and thought it was very pretty. Strange, she doesn't gamble, as she races horses over at Fairmount in ILL. at the race track. We had a great waitress and tipped her nicely.

Today is Monday. I met some friends at River City for a birthday gathering. We did the buffet for lunch which was very good.
The turkey was nice and moist. It is a small buffet, but really good. We had a wonderful waitress. The dessert bar is
yummy there. I did not go in and play due to the bad experience I had on Saturday. Just was not willing to give them more
of my money. I did hear back from a couple of friends and they didn't win, but was able to play. Sometimes that is as
important as winning. We don't like it when they suck up your money.

I went over to River City today (SAT) with a friend. We stopped at the Burger Bar for lunch which was good. They give ample
portions for the money. We both were disappointed with the slots today. VERY TIGHT!!! We both ran out of money before
we thought we would. I got on an OUTBACK JACK machine and it took me to the bonus round. It picks the bonus for you
with the little truck. I got 7 free spins and it re-triggered and I got an additional 7 spins. OUT OF 14 SPINS I GOT $2.00!!!!
I got on another machine and I got 10 free spins and I got .75cents. BAD DAY!!! Not any better for my friend.

Thursday Dec 29, 2011. My friend Jan and myself went to River City for a quick lunch in the Burger Bar and to play the slots
for a couple of hours. The chili was good as usual and the workers behind the counter were nice. GOODNESS, were the
slots ever tight for me. NOTHING was hitting for me. I LOST $90.00 !!! $50.00 was from Jan as part of XMAS gift.
However, we were there for 2 hours and she only lost $15.00!!! I tried Outback Jack, Fort Knox, Yahtzee, Hot Penny, and
the Lord only knows what else. I did get some kickback, only to have them suck it back in. RIVER CITY is not my most
favorite. Some of my friends do very well. Guess its me!!!

We went to River City Monday evening for a friend's birthday. The slots were really tight. I don't often win at this casino, but
the slots were really cold. I was sorry that my friend couldn't get hold of anything. My Yahtzee machine was not co-operating
with me, nor was Mr. Lucky 88. I guess they were played out from the weekend? I did play a little while on the Out Blackjack
machine. Otherwise it was bad news.

Our last stop today was River City. We were here for a couple of hours. I played on a OUT BACK JACK MACHINE and
couldn't get hold of very much. I DID have fun on their YAHTZEE MACHINE. THERE ARE 3, AND ALL 3 OF US played
together for awhile and had alot of fun. Jan left with about $50.00 more than she came in with. I broke even and friend
Nancy lost about $25.00. Home we all went.

I went to River City today while I was out shopping. I didn't have alot of money with me so I didn't plan to stay long. I was there
almost 2 hours. I played almost an hour on a ' Hot Penny Machine'. Then I Found a 'lucky 88" machine and played on that
one for almost 30 minutes. I like the Chinese Man that gives you the luck. THEN, I needed to get on home as I ran out of
money & time. Usually, I can't play that long on one machine at River City. I had fun.

River City is very pretty. SLOTS are not very loose. However, some of my friends do very well there. The buffet is small, but
good. They have wonderful chili. It is a very clean casino, also is still new. I like playing some of the new games, like
Yahtzee. It is close to home and easy to get to. People are very friendly and helpful.

The newest and, by far, nicest looking casino in Missouri, River City is the closest the state has to a real Las Vegas casino. There are several very good, reasonably priced dining options, very nice poker room, two nice lounges (one with live music four nights per week) and a good sized casino floor with a good variety of table games and slots. The down sides are that the payout percentage was at 91.6 percent when I last checked and the property has NO HOTEL. Customer service is generally very accommodating and the player's club is better than those at other area casinos. For sure, this is the best casino that the St. Louis area has to offer.
