Nexus of Vegas
If you follow Las Vegas Blvd North to the end, or Main St to the convergence of Las Vegas Blvd N, you'll see it - an oil derrick, next to a small casino - "Jerry's Nugget". The area may be a little downtrodden but, isn't this the crux of "Sin City" the way it should look?
The glitzy strip has nothing on Jerry's for the pure gamers, and you can find the fire exit quite easily. There's a few degenerate looking characters afoot, so what! This is old Vegas, right across from the world famous "Palimino" strip club.
A little of old Vegas is still alive, without the cool disinterested feel of the ostentatious strip. Taste has a good deal to do with it also of course, but their cash is green, without the fanfare.
