The loosest slots?
Buffalo Run has been running a big TV and radio promotional; program, touting the "loosest slots in Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma". They also are pushing the idea that since they haven't built a new casino building, they are "In the Black and paying Back".
My wife and I, three - four years ago, went to Buffalo Run quite regularly, and did as well on the slots as we did anywhere else, and better, I think, on average, than most other Native American casinos in the area.
We stopped going there however when we seemed to stop having any luck on the slots. A couple weeks ago, we returned based on their big advertising promotion, to see if we noticed any difference in the slots. We went through our night's 'budget' in short order, and seemingly the slots were just as hungry, or maybe even moreso, than they had been when we stopped going there a few years ago.
I do think the atmosphere there is fine, and the employees as responsive as most any other casino. The player's club is average, and we fine nothing particularly good or bad about the food and drink services.
For my money however, (and that is the money I am most concerned about!) I will not be going back anytime soon. There are other casinos, newer and nicer, with equal or better food, drink and customer services, closer to my home where I seem to at least have some luck during an evening on at least one or two slot machines, even if not winning any big jackpots. I know I can play longer on my money at these other casinos, than I can at Buffalo Run on that same amount of money. And since slots are the only thing I play, that is the bottom line.
I haven't been to the casino or Hotel for about 2 yrs. The slots just take your money. The Hotel is nice but what's the use if the casino is so tight? It used to be fun to play there before they got greedy. I won't be back until they loosen the slots up. Looks like management could see whats happening,DUH. They will figure it out when just the employees are the only ones left to play.
Yeah.... i held my end of the deal to not come bac
Well let's start with my title. Reason why my title is like that is because i made a deal to myself to never come back to this casino UNLESS a friend drags me there. So far it's going on 2 years and I have not walked in since, except for once when a friend told me she wanted to go for her b'day.... I took 20 dollars in and came out with 60. Yes i was shocked and i wasn't gonna risk giving it back, so yeah that was not an option.
When i was going they changed amounts on the machines due to the recession and economy goings on. I spent 100 dollars in a machine i used to play all the time and it did not hit ONCE. I did play the 1 dollar max bet that it had at that time and i ripped my players club card in front of the security guard at the time and left it on the floor. When they first opened i did satisfactory in that place which was the reason for me coming all the time and it went down hill... i don't ask for much except for GAME PLAY and what it began doing was stealing... i don't care what anyone or any machine would say on that.
Players club was awesome for a while and then it's a joke now. Food was too expensive, basically catered to the rich and hungry and the gaming atmo is basically cramped... they need to move some of those machines around and have a better floor plan. All i did was bump into people and had to wait for people to move and when concerts are there... you are stuck at a machine until they move because you can't turn the chair to get out.
Machines are tight
The machines are tight. I tried lots of machines and placed at least 5 coins per bid and still just wasted my money. The machines do not follow the normal programming of slots.
I have gone there several times because I just live about 15 miles and the machines just take your money and you have no chance of even breaking even.
Save your money and stay away.
Would not recommend
My husband and I used to go here before they added the hotel. We never really won big nor did we lose much. It was always a 50/50 chance of wining something. But after they added the hotel you can never win anything. All the slots just eat up your money like a kid at a candy store. I knew it would be like that but we still went in hopes that they would loosen up the slots but after wining absolutely nothing we stopped going.
After a year of not going they could have loosened up the slot machines. We also got a "suite" at there hotel for the weekend.
Front desk ladies are super super nice. 5 stars. My husband and I always go to the back of the casino. The atmosphere is a lot more quieter and more enjoyable.
Hotel room. One star. It was the smallest room that I have ever paid for. Even old hotels are way bigger than this suite. I couldn't imagine a normal room. They only had one small shampoo bottle and one small soap. The restroom door would not close unless you slammed the door. They also only had one blanket for the bed and it was extremely thin. Though they did have an extra one in the closet but that was for a couch that could be turned into a bed. Still it was very thin and I had to get the heater on. The heater would not reach the side where the small desk was in so I had to have the blanket on while I was on my lap top.
They do not have vending machines on the third floor so if you get thirsty in the middle of the night you have to go all the way to the lobby to get one.
Also the elevator was really loud. I have been in many elevators and this was the loudest one.
The 32" tv was in the center of the room between the bedroom and the desk room. It seemed akward at first but you could easily slide it in whatever direction you would want. (Facing the desk or the bed) Bad part was that most channels did not have a signal so you couldn't watch all the channels the booklet said that you could.
Two of the towels that where in the restroom had makeup on them. The closet door was also broken. The handle was broken on the floor when we had arrived.
We didn't try the free breakfast though the lobby area and tables down there seemed very pretty.
Staff was the only nice thing on this trip but I will not return to this casino unless they start handing out cash for just walking in.
My husband and I go about once every two weeks to this casino and have found that the staff was pleasant and helpfu.
There are times that it is quite smokey in the front part, but we go back to the Joe's Grill where there is less smoke and a quieter atmosphere.
We have not had any problems at this casino, it is fun and the staff is more than willing to help. After reading some of the other reviews, it sounds like a person just wants to stir up trouble.
For all you trouble-makers who feel you weren't treated fair, try paying some respect for your fellow mates and you'll get respect in return!!! Thank You Buffalo Run for the entertainment!!!
dont bother going...........
What a waste of 4 hours, rude dealers all around, lazy management that cant resolve table issues. why bother going when the answer to questions always is" i dont know, im not sure, or i cant do that".......service just plain was bad, bad,bad.........
