My wife and I are regulars at HighWinds and our last trip over the weekend was worth commenting about. Although they've removed their blackjack tables, they've increased their machine count by a bunch. The floor is always packed and they've added two new bonusing features to their floor. One I don't know the name of but it provides the newest title releases (new new new), the second is Mystery Mania. Basically it's a 4 level progressive that pays out randomly, but must hit by a particular amount. This bonus alone is worth the trip. I saw 4 Mystery Mania's go in a single night, all of which were over 100.00. What's better is it pays directly to your machine (not to your free play) so you can cash it our right when you win it. They also do point promotions, hotseats, and "dine n play'
On that note, the Bedlam Steakhouse at HighWinds is by FAR the best restaurant in NE Oklahoma. On top of the excellent food, they do dine n play specials where you get a $5 free play if you order $5 or more in food. Not sure what the times are but I've seen it at lunch and on Friday nights.
It's a little casino, so don't expect roller coasters or a hotel, but if you're in town and want to hit the friendliest, CLEANEST, and loosest casino in Miami, be sure and try em out!
Well all i can say about this Casino is that it's a small li'l thing that really shouldn't have been built. It was debuted on television, but whenever i drive by the massive parking lot is half filled, like Buffalo Run. Anyways, here is my review. High Winds really is the casino that shouldn't have been built... it's one of those casinos that's just in the middle of all the others that i guess is kinda a good strategy when it comes to picking the pockets of the drivers before they go to the other casino's bigger events. I am not very proud of this casino. It's one of those ones that i literally take 1 to 5 dollars in and use their free play and leave. Every time i bring massive amounts of money in, the machine steals it... no game play. If i DO NOT use their players club card, then i tend to win... MESSAGE THERE????
Yeah I am seeing that obvious thing, plus you can't earn points fast like the others, their players club program is not user friendly at all as far as earning points for stuff.... using it for free play is about the only thing worth doing. Once i use it up, i usually take the card out and change the printed out ticket from another machine and then bring it back to the same machine... that's usually how i win. I honestly think those machines track and go based off of your playing style. If that's the case then its a cheating casino, but i don't go enough to really study that.
So take your time in here and if you want to spend 200, bring in 20 and just see where it goes and then you'll have a better understanding. The restaurant is good and i like it and the atmosphere is really clean, bathrooms are good, and its all around comforting, so no complaints there.
They took out all of the Tables when we stopped in at the end of May. Good popcorn at the bar with Video Poker, rare in these parts, but the pay tables were not anything special.
