rewards point have changed, along with comps
We have played here since opening day and lately things have changed with rewards and comps. My wife plays more than me and no longer gets comps for dinner as I still do. Players points don't add up anymore like they use to. Just keeps getting worse as it goes and have cut way back on play there and soon to cut back for good.
On last Saturday my friend put $700 dollars in the Davinchi Diamond by the restaurants and played for over 3 hours as he was dropping the $100 into the machine one after the other waiting to get a bonus but it never happened. This is honest to goodness truth. He got up and left. I have heard that IGT can alter the machines so they do not pay and they can do it by changing the chip at anytime. And that may be the reason you see their office around Hefner road in OKC. They moved closer so they be a part of the gang of Chickasha nation who strip people off their money everyday in the name of entertainment. A lady complained to one of the floor manager and he basically said that the management does not care about the customers they are after making the most money. So you be the judge where you are being entertained and by whom. Visited February 2015
I Couldn't Win at This Casino
I do not know how much the casino pays for people to leave 4 and 5 star review for this stupidly bad place but I know it must be a lot. The way it works at neverwin is to walk in and hand your money to someone and walk out. I left a $50 there and played for about 20 minutes and decided to take the rest of my money and run as far as I can from this place. stay away if you value your hard earned money.
Never again will I go to a concert here!
Have gone to my last concert here, went to see Night Ranger last night and security was in the face of everyone who took a phone out, and I understand if you are using a flash, but they wouldn't let you take a photo with your wife, saw them harass and toss out many people and it was one security guard in particular, fat guy, shaved head. What should have been handled is the over serving of most of the people who left their seats in the front and occupied the seats in the back and were cussing, drunk off their asses and ruining the concert for everyone nearby who paid for their seats, you know who you are if you were the blonde drunk piece of white trash in section 202 who should evaluate their lot in life if this is how you act in your 40's, it was like a free for all. Never again will I go to the "Never Win" casino. Most of the acts hit multiple venues on these casino tours anyway, so pick another casino if you can. There are many nicer venues. Lets also talk about how many people waited in line at the ticket office to pick up tickets online to be told they needed to walk to the other end of the casino to pick up their tickets, smart thinking Riverwind and then there were the rude people at will call. Wake up Riverwind, you are not the only casino in town and the word is out about you that you are the worst in the metro area.
you will never win stop going
I used to go to this casino since they opened and had lots of fun there till couple of years ago. used to win some and lose some. although mostly loss, there were but occasional win too. since couple of years ago that the management changed this place is going down the hill. I stopped going since my loss was constant. I went back yesterday just to see if anything has changed . This place is worst than before. dirty and crowded with slots that no one is playing on. few that are being used are draining money from the customers. I think the manager put the slots on a zero pay out to drain the retirees income since those are the major players at this place for being close to Norman. I now go to Grand which is cleaner, bigger has more space. may not win much but do not loose constantly either. Will never return
Blackjack tables and chairs are sticky when I played at the tables. I thought since the ceiling was so high that it may not be smokey. But there is some kind of ceiling above the blackjack pits that seems to hold the smoke down and it is smokey. Plus that ceiling thing is covered in dust..yuck.
The casino overall is pretty clean but the blackjack part is pretty nasty. Will not visit again!
I went there after a few months and found it to be worst than before. slots are empty. still names that are called for phony drawings are strange. staff are rude and place is dirty and smelly. will come back in another 3 months
Bad experience for me
I went to this casino on my way to Texas. Very dirty and the staff are just in the business of pushing chairs in nothing else. The machines are some broken and others empty and few that play just feed the machines. No excitement, no one looks happy. You people should stop going to this place. There are others. I lost over $100 in just 15 minutes or so playing an $.80 bet on a machine called Devinchi and another $50 on open the vault playing $1:00. Left and promised to myself never to return to this casino. I travel a lot and this casino is one of the worst I have ever played in.
Time to Change
As per our State Treasurer, Tribal Casinos allowed to Self Govern as State thought free enterprise and competition would drive fairness. WRONG, didn't work. Greed is killing the industry and hurting the public that can least afford to be harmed.
Low payouts all the negative reviews, greed won't let them change. "Collusion" must be investigated. State Legislature, help the people, create fairness....Regulate those who won't regulate themselves...People Vote!
Simple request....Casino's be FAIR.. you business model will thrive and you will enjoy your monopoly and your customer base will return and grow if not it will wither just like Atlantic City. The consumer will eventually dictate fairness if you don't.
Live in NOKC so riverwind is a bit of a haul. Had gone there 6-7 yrs ago and enjoyed our time there. Deceided to give it a try again. Have gone there now 4-5 days in the last couple of weeks. Maybe 7 in the last 2 months. I don't gamble (slots) much if any at all. Wife has not won at all playing slots. Reading other reviews, i can attest to "bonus" spins or games paying off a couple bucks or under. Just watched a woman next to my wife gets 16 free spins with 3x multiplier and she won 4.40 WOW!!! I started playing texas hold'em at a table as i enjoy cards more. 1st night i got a rewards card and had it swiped at the table and lost 132.00... 2nd night i asked how many points i had? Gaming tables don't give points, they give you "comp". Was told i had 15 which equalled approx. 15.00... Played again that night and won 150.00... 3rd night i played was tonight. Won another 147.00. Took a break, went back a hour later and won another 37.00. Asked again if anybody could tell me how many "comp" points i had and what could i do with them? Remember i had 15 from the 1st night when i lost. I was told by a pit boss there was no way to tell??? He asked if i "wanted" something? I said no, it's just info i'm looking for and how i can use them. He checked my card and said: "you could probably get a meal".... So i guess if you lose, you get "comp" but if you win, you don't get jack! Sounds real fishy to me? Anyway after reading these reviews and what i've watched from my wife and others playing slots, i think i'll take my money elsewhere.... Sorry "neverwin", you lost us as customers
Why do people still go to Riverwind?
Riverwind Casino has been in steady decline for at least the past four years. Now it's so bad there that almost nobody wins. And the payouts on the slots are pathetically small at best.
they need to shut this place down
My brother in law took $5000 with him to this place last night to see if any one of the slots pays. He walked in at 6:30pm and played on most major slots and left at 9 pm with $0.50 in ticket money .WOW
It is a shame that the state of Oklahoma let its retired and elderly be cheated of their income in the name of entertainment. I understand the influence of lobbying and campaign donation but those elected officials have obligation to the people of Oklahoma mainly to their senior citizens and need to at least try this place for themselves and see if what we say is really the truth. Do not look at 4, 5 star readings we know they are paid for as well.
empty but yet greedy
Lately there are almost more employees than players at never win. Those who play except maybe one or two all lose their money. There is no limit to the greed of this nation. But people of Oklahoma are beginning to get used to having a casino close by and are able to decide when to go where. It is up to the casino owners to attract these people by incentives because Casino is not a new thing to us anymore and we have options no matter how bad our options are we also can stay home because the casino is not going anywhere but we are.
I was sitting by this lady who was on this one machine I think caled Davinci ???
she was playing $0.30, $0.40, $0.80, $0.90, $1.50, $2 and a few $4 and did not get a free game for the time I was sitting by her then I left and came back gain in about 2 hours she was still sitting there. I asked her if she got a free play she said no and she was counting her plays. it was when she hit 1002 and was playing $2 she got a free play and that free play gave her only $9.28. She said the reason she did not leave that machine was because she wanted to feel how much she dislike the place and tell herself no matter how long and how much one put into playing at this pace one will always leave broke. I know what she is talking about because I also put over $200 on this one machine called wheel of fortune and got nothing. I will not go back. It seems the payout has even been lowere4d further. and the place is mostly empty except on maybe Saturdays or when they have some events
I went to this place last night. I lost on any machine at which was maybe 7 or 8 machines. Not even one single person won around me. All of the faces were sad. This was my last time going there. I will go to Lucky Star where people actually enjoy playing and people are smiling, or I would go to the Grand.
shame on the University of Oklahoma
Shame on the University Of Oklahoma leaders for putting the river wind casino trademark on the university of Oklahoma campus and advertizing this nasty place. I assume the money they get has blinded the university officials' sight. I guess every one has a price and OU has sold its honor to the right price.
WE NEED REGULATION IN OKLAHOMA
The reason these tribal casinos get such bad reviews is because of the lack of state regulation. Every casino in the country except for the Tribal Casinos has state regulation. I found a petition to push for regulation.
I am an avid player and play here often. No fun at all these days. Management has had this casino programmed very very tight for a long time. It makes me want to yell and scream at their employees but I bite my lip. I guess that the managers hide in the back room. I would hide also if everyone in my casino was losing their money at a fast pace. I believe that they don't consider their players as customers but consider them as suckers. Most scams are behind the curtains but the slot machine scam at Riverwind is right out in the open. I have contacted many state representatives and I am sure that thousands of people are doing the same. Maybe they will step in and start regulating this foreign country since it is their citizens that are the losers. I also wonder how many college students get taken for everything in this casino since it is almost on the OU Campus? What about all of the senior citizens?
lowest paying casino in the nation
I have played at Rivewrwind casino for well over 5 years now. And in that time it has gotten progressively worse. Since about July 2011, when a new general manager was put in place, riverwind has basically gone downhill quick. I would like to know the true rate of return for their slot machines, if there is one? Because I, or you, could pick any slot machine in the entire casino, any denomination, on any day, any hour, and put a $100 bill in the machine. And, I can guarantee you will not a hit a bonus. In 1-months time, you might hit a bonus 1-time with the 30-days. The other 29-days you will lose your $100.
I used to have alot of fun there. There were great concerts, cagefights, terrific promotions. Now, it is the proverbial ghost town. Nothing exciting, no money to be won, except on a fluke. I just wish Oklahoma would pass full blown gaming then we might have a chance. Because I recently went on vacation to Shreveport and Biloxi. Between 4-days and 2 people. I took $3,000 for gambling purposes. I returned with $7,800. So, where do you think your chances of winning are more fair? It is definitely not tribal land.
I don't like this casino
I think Lucky star or Grand or even Thunderbird is 10 times better than this place
this place is a sad joke
It is a smelly, dirty and greedy place. One new thing I discovered last Friday about the deceptiveness of the owners of this place was shocking to me but I am sure most of you knew about it already. At one point close to the end of their so called give away drawing. The guy called a lady's name Debbie ... to get her share of the pot. they waited 3 minutes and the lady did not show up. So the announcer said since Debbie did not show up we will call another name. This time he called some one name Paul.., in about 1 minute I guess the guy went to claim his prize and the announcer said "ok Debbie now pick your prize from the pot". I was shocked. Debbie had already forfeited her place by not showing up and Debbie is definitely a woman's name. There can only be one explanation, the names are fake names and the announcer sometimes forgets which fake name he has called already. I have been going there with my husband for over 3 years and none of our names has ever been called. But my Brother-in-law's name was called 3 weeks ago while he was cruising in Europe and had not been in River wind for over 2 months. No wonder smart people of Oklahoma have quit going to this deceptive place. And I am sure if these people do not put their acts together be honest and loosen their machines and bring back the Saturday promotions the business will even get slower soon
the place is a ghost town
the place is a ghost town. The owners are only sucking the elderly and retirees. I went there last night to eat at Chip &.. which a friend invited me and played $20 on some machine and lost it all in less than 10 minutes then watched my friend for a while to play blackjack and also walked around most machines were empty or people were playing $.2 or $.40 and losing. and remembered days that the place was packed. By the way number of unhappy employees dropped drastically as well. greedy greedy what else can you say about this nation?
People should unite to boycott this place
I went to this place after over a 6 months. Still is the same if not worse. This man was playing a slot machine game and was making $1 bet at each hit. After losing over $37 without even one penny win, he got a bonus and guess how much this $1 bonus paid? You guessed it only $1.25. He said these people are bad and walked away. I suggest all who play in this casino quite going there for at least 3 months. Go to some other place and let these people know how bad they are. I did you can do it too. I am going to go back in another 6 months and if still this bad will stay away longer. Good news is the place was empty hahaha
Too many "promotions"
Riverwind Casino was a great place to have fun when it first opened. The slots were not real tight but not real loose either, yet it was fun. The atmosphere was good and you could have a good time for your entertainment expense. The Willows buffet put on a very good spread with lots of variety and many deserts. Showplace Theater had big name entertainers frequently. About a year and a half ago things went south. I suspect a change in management. They started promotions weekly with almost daily lures that were a joke. Drawings were supposed to be on points earned. My wife and I played from 9am till 8pm and earned a tremendous amount of points, yet I saw people come in and their names would be called shortly after they began playing. Our names were never called And that was only one of several "promotions" we participated in and the results were the same -names never called. Perhaps if they didn't waste so much time and money on phony rip-off promotions they could put those resources into the slots payouts Willows buffet has gone to pot - no pun attended. The food is totally lousy now. Showplace Theater doesn't book many big entertainers anymore. Even the staff complains about the management of that place to customers - I have heard it from several employees. Greed has taken over Neverwin. My advice - don't waste your dollars in a place that only wants to bleed you for evert penny they can
Avoid this place
I used to go to River wind with my friends, have a drink or two, play the machines and had lots of fun. Sometimes win and sometimes lose. All and all we had fun. I do not know what happened a few months ago, probably owners' greed, or they thought whatever crap they drop on customers we would come back. So they lowered the payouts to almost ZERO. I remember machines would be lying on the floor in the morning and someone be messing with inside it and later I would play that machine and it would be completely dead. I got fed up and decided my money my choice. Now I go to casinos other than Chickasha. I go to the Grand or Sac & Fox, or Lucky Star. Grand has been good so far. I enjoy my time. Although I have not won big but have not lost big like I did at River wind either. Now my money lasts. My ADVICE DO NOT PLAY AT CHICASHA CASINOS. Go outside Norman to other casinos. You may find it more enjoyable. Why reward people who assume you are a lamb.
In any other place businesses fight with each other to earn your money, at Chickasha Nation gambling houses they fight with you to make sure others get your business.
They spend thousands of dollars on advertisement to get you into their casinos, but they save a crummy $20 incentives on Saturdays so you go to other casinos that have incentives on Saturdays. They give you a faulty $100 as a new member but then they work very hard to make you not to come back. If they had any business sense other than greed, which I doubt they do, they would loosen their machines and bring back a bigger incentive for Saturdays ( More than a $20 ) and treat the customers with respect. This would bring more people than a woman calling the place "simply the best" on TV hahaha. They do not even know their customers' gender or age. If they had any sense they would spend the advertising money on making us their best advocate while we are there and we would be their advertising machines which would get them more revenues. But do you think they know this,? I doubt it. They are too stupid and too greedy to even think of this. Las Vegas is the simple example of what I just proposed and Los Vegas advertises its payouts and is still standing and growing. So have some reservations toward people who take you as fools.
NEVERWIN, GREEDYWIND, what is there more to say
I come here once every few months to check for new games (no new games, the games are 1 year behind vegas), and the slots are as tight as always. I can never win, min bet or max bet, the slots just suck you dry. I think the slot tournaments are rigged. I was there twice, and both times the SAME lady won 1st place. And the same bunch of people made it to the finals both times. If tournaments are rigged, it is very likely that the drawings are rigged too. I think I also saw evidence that some slots are reset (from game stats), meaning that all the money that has been put into the machine are gone. If you want to play slots in OKC, avoid the chickasaw casinos, go to the casinos that are a few minutes outside of OKC.
never again step inot this place
The place is smelly. Management is rude. Machines are incredibly tight, Food is tasteless and expensive, Music is extra loud and specially the Saturday night that I was there both the band and the taped music were mixed and made it so annoying that you did not want to be there. Usually when I come to Oklahoma which is twice a week I go to the "Grand" and always have fun and although I lose I also win at times. Basically I have fun with my money. At Riverwind machines were extremely ruthless. No matter how much you put in the hungry owners pocket they wanted more. I will never ever come to this casino again. Not until I really know they have loosened their machines to a decent payout. I will advise my friends to do the same.
I went to this place last Tuesday to pick up a friend. the place was dead and most parts of it was dark because they had turned the lights off to save money :). my friend had lost his weekly paycheck in about 2 hours on a machine called cool catz playing $1.25 she said she got 2 free spins while putting $380 in the machine and the 2 free spins gaive her only $17.50 all together which she put it back in the machine. I was happy that I quit going to this nasty place about 6 months ago and have saved 100s of dollers since.
best time ever.
went there today for my 18th b'day. won around $70 went in with 20. spent my winnings on the machines. loved it. and to everything negative below me. the place is not empty. its not horrible. its a fun atmosphere
Went to this place on Tuesday while visiting my sister in Norman. Played moneybag lost over $300 less than 20 minutes. Then went to Phoenix and played $.40 and $1 and lost $200 in 30 minutes. I asked this woman who said she plays there from time to time why this place is so empty. She said, 2 years ago this place was crowded and a happy place to be in, but now it is like a ghost town on weekdays and a little busy on weekends. She said she has lost a lot in this casino so she only comes when they give some incentives. I told myself "Sam, $500 has taught you a valuable lesson of not stepping foot in this place again", and tell everyone to stay away from Chickasha casinos. Go to others for a better luck. These owners have planned to take as much money as they can from you and do not care if you come back or not. In addition, since no government agency is monitoring the place they do what they can with their customers. So I call it rootles business that has no sense of compassion and value for its customers.
