BetMGM will be introducing PlayPause, a software to maintain responsible gaming resolutions across state lines.
BetMGM is one of the few online casinos that is available in multiple states. And they’re taking helping their customers take care of themselves by providing responsible gambling software that’s active across state lines.
BetMGM’s Multi-State Presence
While most casinos are only present in one state, BetMGM is operational in New Jersey, West Virginia, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
BetMGM had recently announced that customers can use one account and one app in any one of these states. They are the first online casino to allow this easy consistency across state lines.
And BetMGM is rolling out the use of their responsible gaming software, PlayPause, which will be valid across state lines as well.
What is PlayPause?
PlayPause is a software that gamblers can choose to have connected to their BetMGM accounts. You set the parameters you want to use, including limiting your bankroll, and that will be operational wherever you’re using your BetMGM account.
The software was developed by GeoComply. This is a company developing research in the geolocation software used to ensure that a person is within state lines while playing at a state casino.
According to Anna Sainsbury, the chairman of GeoComply, “PlayPause is not only an important compliance tool, but a way we can unite the industry and regulators to deepen their shared commitment to responsible gaming and consumer protection.”
GVC Holdings which is the company behind BetMGM, recently made a $5 million investment in responsible gaming initiatives. The fit with PlayPause was a naturalone.
