International Gaming Technology (IGT) has announced a new division within their organization specifically dedicated to their igaming and sports betting operations.
IGT is separating their igaming and sports betting operations into a new division they are labeling their “Digital and Betting” operations. This new branch will be headed by Enrico Drago who previously served as senior vice president of IGT’s PlayDigital arm and has overseen IGT iGaming, iLottery, and sports betting businesses in this role.
This new separation means that IGT will now begin reporting results for its Digital and Betting business separately starting with Q3 of this year.
The company released a press release on this new announcement saying, “IGT has established strong leadership positions and driven dynamic growth across its iGaming and sports betting businesses. With significant growth expected to continue, we have decided to establish a dedicated Digital & Betting business segment. These businesses have become strategically important to IGT as they afford us the opportunity to leverage the global reach and strong customer relationships of our Global Gaming segment. The new structure gives us more flexibility in our product and solutions portfolio and enables a better appreciation of the intrinsic value of these activities.”
