A budget casino
For the normal price of a room, this is a value room, it is a large room with a large TV. I have always found them to be clean. The bathroom is adequate. They have a very nice pool and jacuzzi area. They have a shuttle to and from the airport which is a life saver from you arrive late at night. Buffet is cheap and you get what you pay for. The cafe has some great special which are good.
some values
Will be staying here on march 2,.I will update again after visit. I was thinking maybe my past reviews are too harsh in light of almost all the casinos have cut back benefits except Boyd and some of the downtown casinos. A nice perk is the airport shuttle, however their last run is 12 midnight, where they used to go all night. So again if you were a past customer of 2 years ago, you have seen drastic cutbacks on bling and vp paytables.
Some good, some bad
stayed in one of their unrenovated rooms in december, they are still a value even though they have taken the coffee pots out. They are inconsistent with providing a free coffee coupon. The machines tend to be cleaner but the vp paytables are terrible. The club point conversion is still I think the best. But they reduced the benefits and the club combined with registrations seems to be a confusing setup, which they have changed locations about 3 times in the last 2 years. They are renovating the buffet, which their 1st change was a huge down grade in the breakfast when they removed the omelet station and replaced it with some really terrible scrambled eggs.
Room Value
Terribles still have decent rooms at a good value most of the time, at high times they are oftem overpriced, as they are not on the strip. I was in one of their redo rooms and the improvements
were nice. They put a partition glass between the bathroom and bedroom, it cut down on noise. New lamps were also nice. As you know they downgraded their VP earlier, and the only positive games are very volatile and you get no points. Ate their breakfast buffet its ok for the price.
Terribles Club continues to go downhill
Terribles use to be a bargain in all areas. But in the last year and a half the players club continues to decrease use. They still have an advantage with points earned but they are shady about using these points. Rooms for points is especially deceptive. They don't inform you of blackout dates and have something about play? You have already played to earn the points?
Great off strip casino and hotel
A little ways off the strip, right down Flamingo road about a mile. Clean and comfortable rooms, nice pool area, excellent gift shop/convenience store, CHEAP buffet is not big but decent breakfast, great specials in the restaraunt, good players club especially for new sign ups.
Downhill for vp and club
I was very disappointed with my treatment as loyal customer. They did not let me use my points, without blacking out the days.
They didn''t even give me the Ace discount for my play. They also gave me a noisy room and the service was not friendly. They had lowered the price of their rooms a week before my arrival so I don't think they were that packed. No more 9/6 job, and their positive play games get no comps. They had no computer available this time. On the positve side, they added a wt. machine to their fitness room and they actually improved their Breakfast buffet, the fruit station was better and their 1 choice of eggs were not rubbery and tasteless.as usual. Deuces Wild Cafe special was good as usual. There club slogan is Loyalty has it rewards! They did not honor their slogan and gave conflicting anwers for the reasons..
Good locals/tourists Hotel and Casino
I usually stay here 2 nights with ACG coupon, $50 for 2 nights.Clean comfortable rooms, nice pool, great gambling, cheap basic buffet, great specials in the restaraunt, nice convenience store.close to the strip on Flamingo Road, bus stop at door. Won $25 gift card in Free daily slot tournament.
Terribles not as good, but still one of my favorit
Stayed for 2 nights in November. I arrived very late, plane delay and a late flight anyway. One advantage gave them a call and got their shuttle bus, it was about midnite when I arrived. they did not have my reservation?!! But the desk clerk was helpful and polite.
Theirs are usually a bargain for the price. They are a nice large room. I have been going to Terribles for the last 7 years. There have been some negatives recently since they changed hands, but some positives too. The casino is cleaner and maybe less smokey. If you like penny slots it seems to have great variety. Their unsavory characters have toned down some also. They have a nice breakfast special with your card called the deuces wild it is 2.95 and served 24 hours. 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, bacon or sausage.
Terribles Las Vegas
Don't try Terribles' buffet. It's terrible. Casino is crowded and smokey, though I suppose locals find something to like here. Slots payoff is better than some. They offer some very good room rates on their specials, but I'm afraid to try them.
It's All In The Name
The name says it all. I am always surprised to see good reviews on Terrible's. I know it's a locals hang-out and I suppose many out-of-towners like that atmosphere and I sometimes also like it. But when we tried Terrible's, I wasn't impressed with all the noise, smoke, and the worst Las Vegas buffet I had ever tried. That was enough.
I have never stayed in the rooms and probably will never find out if they're any good.
Terribles-a good deal
We stayed at Terribles in March, 2011. The good: cheap room rates, generous comps, nice pool area, low table limits, nice affordable restaurant. The bad: hard to get a cab (had to a walk 2 blocks to Hard Rock to get a cab). Overview: if you go to Vegas once every 10 years or if you want to be pampered, do not go to Terribles. If you are a Vegas veteran, like to gamble, and want a nice affordable room, Terribles is the place for you. Expect a standard "Red Roof Inn" type room; this is no Aria folks, but you can't argue with the room rates! The staff will not kiss your --- like they would at the Bellagio, but they are all nice and accommodiating. Until I win the million dollar jackpot, i will return to Terribles.
Take a Time Machine Back to Old Las Vegas
Terrible's reminds me of Las Vegas in 1990. You walk in, join the players club, and get a free hat or t-shirt. Along with that, you get a coupon book. Play for a while, turn in your coupons, swipe your card, and walk out with a bottle of wine, a 24 oz. can of beer, a deck of cards, etc. For lunch, you used your coupon to have a half-price buffet (not the greatest buffet). It is a fun place to visit and they rule when it comes to the "free stuff" as long as you don't mind waiting in line over and over again at the players club! It is a small, smoky casino but it's definitely a must for the "off the strip" Vegas experience.
Terribles Hotel and Casino
Terribles Casino in Las Vegas is still a place with a nice 2 for 1 buffet using coupons. There has always been plenty of new penny slot machines. It is still too smoky for my tastes.
Terribles is not terrible
Terribles used to be a great place to go for free bling and a cheap buffet. I love those old red hats. Recently they have been using the promos less as come-ons and more as simple rewards for play. I see the logic of that change while I mourn the loss of another red cap. The free T shirts were pretty basic, so I won’t miss them.
Years back I could play VP Job 9/6 in nickles. Those were cut, leaving quarters. Then those were cut as well. If you search, however, you can still find some machines in quarters left. I generally play by going toward the main cashier’s cage down the center aisle and checking the machines to my right; the first or second in one row generally gives me a full pay.
I play less than I did simply because I never played enough for room comps, and I have decided to concentrate my play where I also want to stay.
Terribles is not a bad place to stay. The rooms were basic, although I have not stayed in the better rooms, just the cheapest. They now have flat televisions and coffee makers in many rooms. The pool was above average, pleasantly shaped and surrounded with green growing things. There was even some shade.
Location is too far from the strip to want to walk, and on Flamingo it is not a good walk in the dark of night.
However, once I was sick and rented a car. I remember how thankful I was to have a fine Walgreen’s just a bit East of the casino with no traffic to hold me up from getting juice and pills and then back to bed. However, the TV station selection is pretty sad, as is most casino TV. As insurance against feeling sick I think I like Super 8 with TCM and HBO and free wifi and access to better food.
That being said Terribles has one nice location. It is near the airport. When I rented a car I always stopped there before returning it because I knew there would be no difficulty timing the trip to the airport from there.
Also the 108 which runs South from there is a fine bus line for a number of stops.
The Flamingo bus drops right at the parking lot. There is no worry late at night to take it back to Terribles.
The American Casino Guide has a 2 for 1 food coupon good for the buffet. That makes breakfast a little over $2, dinner under $5. It is not an extensive buffet, but even if all I eat is fruit and yogurt, I get my money’s worth for breakfast. I rarely end up there for the other buffets, but I did last year and did not find it unpleasant. What I like is that I don’t have to worry about the day. There are themed buffets every day and a Sunday brunch, but they are all $9 ($4.50 with coupon) Free with a bit of play…...................http://www.terriblescasinos.com/din_buffet.php........................................
The Cafe serves wonderful food as well and cheaply. I love breakfast there. I love the service. $3 for Deuces Wild: pancakes, bacon, eggs. And this is 24 hours, not some graveyard special 3 times a week although they do have those at $5- 11-7 for things like a half roast chicken. Their signature chicken was always the tequila chicken and I love that.
A great coupon run using your American Casino Guide is to Hard Rock (new members only) walk to Terribles, then walk to Tuscany, Ellis Island, Westin. Do this in the daytime. Both Terribles and Ellis Island offer food on coupon. Then take the bus to the Palms and the Gold Coast and the free shuttle to the Orleans. Flamingo is my Vegas strip for frugal gambling.
Poker at Terribles is not my favorite. There are just two tables squeezed into the main floor. The casino is a bit smoky. I’ve avoided it. But if you smoke, you might like it. I also don’t much like Hard Rock poker, so I don’t stay at Terribles as I once did because there are no games right around that spot.
However, I like it if I feel I’ll be exhausted when I arrive after 5 hours of airplane, or if I want an easy ride to the airport my last couple nights. Terribles offers a free shuttle. They will pick up and drop off. Also, the Rivercity bus to Laughlin (about $110) round trip only picks up at the airport and at Terribles. It may seem expensive, but if you like Laughlin the cheap rooms, food will make up for the travel expense and it is not very much for solo riders compared to gas and the price of a rental.
So for bus/shuttle riders Terribles is ideally located.
The American Casino Guide has a great hotel deal ($49 for two nights) but it is limited to certain months, so I never get to take advantage of that, as I don’t go those months.
Terribles has always been known for many promotions, free slot tournaments, stuff to buy with points, point multiplier days. While it is not what it once was, it still is pretty good in comparison. If you are renting a car watch for gas card promotions. Ask at the Club desk.
Terrible for some, Great for others
Rooms are very good for the price! A real value! Slot club is one of the best, Dollars for points, I don't think anyone is better. But they have gone downhill since the bank bought them. Reduced rewards, confusing ever changing promotions. No more FP VP at .05 and .10 level. Buffets terrible to ok. Breakfast is terrible because the scrambled eggs, your only egg choice, are horrid. Cocktail service is usually very good although they lost one of their best recently. Casino is smokey. Cafe is decent some entrees are good others pretty bad. Some excellent deals.
Not such a 'Terrible' Place
Nice place to play, The slot club always has some kind of special that doesn't take your points, lately it has been logo windbreakers if you earn 500 points and you don't have to play too long to get 500 points even on 5 or 10 cent video poker.
They have great frozen margaritas and spicy bloody Mary's that are wonderful and the cocktail waitresses come by often.
Buffet is good, BBQ brisket is good and smoky tasting. We eat and play at "Terrible's" several times a week.

Terribles Hotel and Casino
We always go to Terribles Hotel and Casino to take advantage of 2 for 1 coupons for the buffet dinner. The casino slot area has many penny slots but the ventilation downstairs does not get rid of the cigarrette smoke fast enough. The player's club has many items you can get for your player's points.

Made my first trip to Terrible's in January 2007.
The buffet was very good and reasonably priced, plus we used a 2-for-1 coupon which made it only about $5 each for dinner.
I didn't have a chance to gamble while I was there, but I saw some 9/6 Jacks or Better quarter games.
I will definitely give them some play on my next trip when I go back to visit their buffet.
LOVE THIS PLACE
this is one friendly place to play and stay. Staff is great, dealers are fun and the rooms are HUGE. Had a great week here in OCTOBER 2006
Terribles
Didn't like it, think it takes after its name.

STAYED HERE IN JANUARY FOR 11 NIGHTS, FOOD VERY GOOD, ROOMS CLEAN-FREE COFFEE W/MAKER. YOU NEED A CAR TO GET AROUND FROM THIS CASINO. WE JUST BOOKED NEXT STAY FOR 13 NIGHTS.
GAMBLING OK IF YOU PLAY $1.00 OR HIGHER SLOTS. VIDEO POKER, FOR US "TERRIBLE."
Great ROI (return on investment)
In December 2007, unfortunately, there was no more 9/6 JOB quarters to be found, and I looked hard.
I dropped $200 at the bar watching football & playing 7/5 Bonus chasing a double royal promo (& drinking heavily).
Since I got back I have received two mailers for 2 free nights and $50 free slot play. Looking forward to using them both. Plus before I left I got like $15 cashback & a $10 gas card. Not bad at all.
BJ DD w/DAS available at $5 & $10 minimums.
