Decent food and a nice new EXPENSIVE Hotel.
Don't expect to win much of anything on the Slots and I hope you like Smoke.
Coeur d'Alene is a little better. Notice I put "little" but it is.

Takes FOREVER to cash out your tickets as their crappy automated machines NEVER work.
If you need a slot attendant, you might want to bring a small tent and sleeping bag. I waited 45 min.

I hope the new Casino gets built by the base. All their business will migrate over there and then they will be forced to pay back a decent % or no one will go there.

The information and comments on this casino are somewhat dated so I thought I would add my comments. I generally only play slots, because I'm an idiot, so my input is mostly about slot play and general amenities.

The slots are toward the lower rate of return scale but to be fair they do indeed payout. Over the most recent 1 month period shows there were 34 jackpots over $5,000 paid out and 20 of those were over $10,000. I figure that is not too bad for a regional casino. All the video poker machines are 8,4 machines which is indicative of return levels for all machines. All machines accept cash and payout with vouchers. Vouchers can be used in different machines or redeemed for cash either in one of 5 or 6 cash machines or at any one three traditional cages. The multiple voucher problem has been solved as there are now only 2 types, one of which is only used in wide area multi-state machines. These machines are located immediately adjacent to the cage where they are redeemed. Casino floorspace is now nearly 40,000 sq ft due to expansions. This is a smoking casino with a relatively small non-smoking area. As this is probably the only area where smoking is permitted indoors in the Spokane area the comments about smokey atmosphere are somewhat overdone. This casino has one of the best air handling systems I've seen. Of course if you chose to sit next to a heavy smoker you are going to smell smoke, don't like it move to another machine, with 4,000 choices shouldn't be too hard.

Slots are the worst i have played. I have been to alot of casinos and this place is the worst for payout. Plus the smoking is terrible. You should give your money to the cashier cause you will lose it anyway.

You're not gambling here, you are giving it all away when playing slots. Disgusting really. Don't bother if you want ANY chance of a decent payout. Don't waste your time. I love the hotel, but not worth the bother since the payout is so horrible.

Great if you dont want a good meal or a chance at winning slots. Cutting amenities constantly and quality and payoffs are very obviously going down and down. Very smokey. Have fun giving your cash away.

First of all, the food court is good but the "court" is a burger franchise and an Italian food franchise. The burgers are freshly made and good, the Italian food is cooked and then heated up in the microwave for you-even the pizza. UGH. The buffet is very good to excellent food, the Woodlands restaurant is good for breakfast, but lunch and dinner is bland blah food and crappy service. The Noodle house Chinese is good with great service. The Q (sports bar) atmosphere is an A ++-booths, tables, spacious with booths that have their own tv screen. Lots og big screens with several different games on at once. Service is fair and drinks are good, The food is awful. Awful. Drink and have appetizers and you will be fine.

On to the gambling. The poker room is a lot less busy than it used to be. Poker in Spokane has gone downhill the last year or so. The non smoking slot room is small and crowded. They do have a few blackjack and pai gow tables in the nonsmoking.

The casino floor is noisy, smoky, and atrocious. Full of 70 and 80 somethings in their scooters and oxygen. Smoky smoky atmosphere. Lots of table games and to their credit, 2 craps tables with knowledgeable attendants and stick people. They are friendly and do a good job. The slots NEVER change, they never get new machines like Snoqualmie casino does. If your ticket gets stuck in the machine, it takes FOREVER to get someone to help you. Many will hurry by you on their way to the break room, but it takes a long time for service. There are never enough attendants for the cashier-you will wait a long time.

The hotel is way overpriced for a hotel room in Airway heights (you are about 15 minutes from Spokane, out in the boonies. After going to Snoqualmie, I'll never go back to Quest.

This facility is new and very nice, but the payouts are very low. One can spend a lot of money in a very short time. So if you're an average person don't plan on spending the day as you'll run out of money.

Soda pop is watered down.

Long lines to cash in tickets.

Long wait when attendant is needed.

Long wait when hostess offers drinks. You're better off getting it yourself.

Non-smoking room is very small in comparison.

Too many machines take too many different tickets. Too much time running around to cash out to get to another machine.

From observation and experience Northern Quest is one of the lower end pay outs. Don't waste your time or money here.

Too many different ticket type machines. Some machines only have one place you can cash your tickets in at.

Not enough employees. You may sit for 10 min or more with help light on.

A variety of machines and denominations, but low payouts. Usually a monthly promotion using your club card.

Nonsmoking section is small and has limited games. You must walk through the smoking section (90% of casino) to get to it.
