NJ Online Casinos Set Second Highest Revenue Record in September 2023

Online casinos in New Jersey continue to the impressive 2023 upward spike in revenue, revealing incredible growth as revenue once again exceeds the $160 million mark in September 2023.

In March 2023, online casinos in New Jersey set its official highest record in 10 years of legal online casinos at an astonishing $165.7 million in revenue. In September it managed to reach just sound of the $163.8 million mark, missing the record by less than $2 million.

The top contributors towards the near-recording breaking amount include the online partners of Resort AC that generated nearly $45.5 million in revenue during September. It’s followed by Golden Nugget AC’s online partners with just over $5 million, and Borgata Online claims third place with a total just over $41.5 million in revenue.

The remaining five land-based casinos partners managed revenue figures far below the top three.

  • Bally’s AC – $6.9 million
  • Hard Rock AC – $6.2 million
  • Caesars AC – $5.6 million
  • Ocean AC – $4.4 million

Yet Another Major Increase in the YoY Figures

The latest revenue data from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement reveals NJ online casinos continue to increase with a remarkable 20% increase. In fact, compared to September last year, revenue increased by 21.1% compared to the $135.2 million generated.

What’s even more impressive is the revenue increase for each individual land-based partner. While most online casinos see a major increase, the adjustments to Caesars Interactive makes them the only brand to fall behind compared to last year with a decline of 17.5%.

Bally’s is one of the most popular land-based and online casinos in the state. Despite a slower start, the online casino claims the highest spot in revenue growth, climbing an incredible 86% to $7 million compared to last year’s $3.7 million.

Resorts Digital managed to generated $45.4 million in revenue during September, an incredible 32.9% increase. Popular NJ casinos such as DraftKings and Resorts Casino among others have partnerships with the company.

Hard Rock had also undergone a major revamp in 2023, presenting a completely new layout, affecting the revenue figures. However, despite the changes, the Hard Rock Bet casino managed to climb 9.2% with $6.2 million in revenue.

Operating under the large Borgata AC wing, BetMGM, Borgata Online, Wheel of Fortune Casino, and others remain one of the strongest in the state with revenue reaching $41.6 million is September 2023. While it’s a smaller 1.1% increase, there’s no denying the powerful hold these brands have on the market.
