The only casinos in Michigan not on Indian reservations are located in downtown Detroit. All three are open 24 hours and offer the following games: blackjack, craps, roulette, baccarat, mini-baccarat, Caribbean stud poker, three-card poker, pai gow poker, let it ride, big 6 wheel, Spanish 21, Mississippi stud and casino war. No public information is available about the payback percentages on Detroit’s gaming machines.

The minimum gambling age at all Detroit casinos is 21 and all three casinos offer free valet parking.

Indian casinos in Michigan are not required to release information on their slot machine payback percentages. However, according to officials at the Michigan Gaming Control Board, which is responsible for overseeing the tribal-state compacts, “the machines must meet the minimum standards for machines in Nevada or New Jersey.” In Nevada the minimum return is 75% and in New Jersey it’s 83%. Therefore, Michigan’s Indian casinos must return at least 75% in order to comply with the law.

Unless otherwise noted, all Indian casinos in Michigan are open 24 hours and offer the following games: blackjack, craps, roulette, slots and video poker. Other games offered include: Spanish 21, craps, roulette, baccarat, mini-baccarat, poker, Caribbean stud poker, let it ride, three-card poker, four-card poker, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, Mississippi stud, keno and bingo.

The minimum gambling age is 19 at all five Kewadin casinos, plus the Odawa casino resort in Petoskey. It is 21 at all other Indian casinos except for the following seven where it’s 18: Leelanau Sands, Turtle Creek, Island Resort, Ojibwa, Ojibwa II, Lac Vieux and Soaring Eagle.
