We have been visiting Coushatta since it was open. Thank goodness that they have renovated the main hotel since it was very dilapidated. Since then, the slots have been very tight. You rarely will hear the sound of someone scream of joy or the machine making the jock pot music. Hand pays are so rare and you seldom see any slot attendants around like before. I think this is how they are paying for the new buildings and renovations. The staff have always been friendly. We have reduced our visits there and finding better payoff elsewhere.
The casino no longer offers the entertainment value it had until early 2013. They have dramatically reduced the slot payouts. Even the employees will admit that. This is a big and crowded casino but you will likely see only 1-2 handpays for jackpots in a given day.
The cocktail service is so bad in parts of the casino that it completely ruins the fun of the evening.
I remember days of fun, jackpots, nice players club monthly gifts and easy access to cash checking. The casino now makes it difficult to cash a check. Gone are the cards that allowed for easy access to cash. I am finished with Coushatta. I would recommend you save your money for another casino elsewhere
