I've been going to riverside since it opened. I use to not care for it much but after moving 15 miles away it became my go to place. Recently I have a couple lucky weeks and earned enough points to get elite status and the benefits are great!!! 2 dollar drinks, 100 bucks in slot play every week, 2 free rooms a months and 30 more bucks to make it a junior suite a great deal, whenever I ask they give me free buffets, and lots of other little things. Recently I've been going once a week just to spend my 100 free bucks and leave a couple 100 up every time so I can't complain.

I've been going to Riverside since it opened, and I like it the best out of all the Iowa casinos. I've been here with my friends and they love it too. It's a beautiful place and the atomsphere is great! I wish Minnesota had casinos like Iowa, especially like Riverside. It's a long way for me, but well worth it. When people don't win, they think the machines are tight.
They always think there is a magic switch that turns the machines up or down. I know a lot about slot machines and I can tell you this is rediculous. Fact is, sometimes you win and some times you don't. The odds in Iowa are very good and I will be back as soon as I can!

I have been to Riverside many times. I have been to other casinos in Iowa many times. The Riverside slots do not pay. Incredibly tight slots!

I use to really enjoy coming to riverside from cedar rapids it was close to home and I liked the fact they machines would pay back enough to let you enjoy for awhile. But Riverside has become so tight. You cant tell me they can not control the slot payouts. I just don't enjoy going there any more it's no fun losing all your money in a half hour and then going home. Now I know you are going to say that's gambling and your right, but this place is tight, tight, tight. I'll find me a place a little less worried about making more money for themselves and more about keeping the customer coming back. I enjoy playing quarters and many, many, many a time Ive put in a twenty and never got a single hit off of that twenty. Come on Riverside.

I used to go here about once a week ... the staff used to be nice,genuine and freindly ... they took the time to stop and speak with people ... Others and myself have noticed now that they have downsized the staff considerably and the ones that are still they seem very unpleasant. Just the other day I was there and A fellow gambler had to wait 30 minutes for an attendant to service the machine. lol no,it wasn't a payout ... I think it just needed more paper. It has been a long time since I've seen someone win any money on slots from this place ... very tight ... 100$ will not last more than 20 or 30 minutes in the high limit room ... and when they do handpay someone in the high limit room it's always the same people ... kinda fishy if you ask me ... and if you use a players club card they know where you play how often you play how much you wager and win ... advantage to the casino all the way on that ... oh and I should mention too that they will help "some" of the regular/local gamblers ... they will hint to where the hot machines are ... myself and others have witnessed this ... In my opinion, this is just another sleazey dirty smokey casino that looks nice on the outside,but once you've spent some time here trust me you'll be disappointed.

The casino and hotel itself are very impressive to the eye, the hotel rooms are excellent and the pool is good. When the casino first opened the slot play was okay, but as they "progress", the casino has been pulling out the higher pay percentage slots and replacing them with more and more gimmicky penny machine where the payoff pcts are quite low. Appears to me they are starting to cater more to the occasional gambler who drops in via bus, rather than the local gambler who wants their dollar to stretch a little further. The video poker machines are set at what I would consider well below industry standard payoffs. The listed slot percentage payoffs are and a near Iowa low of 91%, and with the more and more penny machines moving in I wouldn't expect that to get any higher any time soon. Now if you are looking for decent dining, good array of tables games and a nice drinking atmosphere you will enjoy it very much...but if you are a slot/video poker player, I would say you may be somewhat disappointed with your payoff.

"major" casino less than 3 miles from my house.

I love the layout, the amenities, choice of slot machines, the casino is clean and bright.

What more can I say? The only recommendation, better restaurants!!!

If you like playing slots they are bound to have some of your favorite machines but I find they are very tight. Very seldom have I seen people winning, for casino action I prefer other casino's in the area. I have stopped going here pretty much all together now the rooms are top notch and the golf is fantastic and the table games are plentiful,The buffet is subpar compared to others but ruthies is very tasty. I would have to say their slot club is the worst of any.(very stingy) Central bar can be very slow to take your order and drinks are no bargain. They do get some great entertainment and that is usualy when I will go there. Hope this helps.

We have stayed there numerous times due to our son living nearby. We absolutely love the rooms. Service is excellent. I have used the spa twice and it is wonderful. My husband and I are looking forward to playing the golf course. It is worth the trip. The family stayed during Holiday time; our adult children loved the pool area and we were close to shopping and dining in Coralville. This casino has become a frequent destination for us as it is approximately a 3 hour drive for us.

Have been here over 30 times, with and with out our tour group. This is just about as nice a place as you are going to find. Nice people, good food and a hotel as good as you will find anywhere.

There are many $1 machine that have very good paybacks. Have won many jackpots here by just playing $1 at a time. % Dosn’t go up by you playing and extra $. Stay away from machine that pay back 84 to 86% like the multi coin 1 and 2 cent machines. This only reason they are there is to make you poorer! Again this and the new Jumers in Rock Island make the others look sick.

This place is a little too pricey for me. The casino is laid out very well. Open and easy to get around, even for my wheelchair bound sister. The slots are very tight.

The players club is friendly but you don't get much bang for your buck. I just gave a 3 rating to the Hotel and Amenties as well as the Table games because I have never stayed at the hotel and I don't play table games.

We've stayed here twice before and are headed back. Clean, well-kept property. Casino is very pleasant. The Staff is always accomodating.

The rooms are Great! The service very friendly! Ruthies was a fabulous place to dine, although a little pricey for the amount you get. Roberts so-so. Casino was clean, bartenders a little on the slow side. Entertainment was very nice. Golf was expensive and a lot of long holes, very pretty though.We'll be back!

Very nice, clean casino. We have an RV and were hoping to stay in their RV Park, but it hasn't been built yet. They did allow us to park in the main parking lot and security watched over us.



I mentioned it to friends and they spent a day there and really enjoyed the buffet and the entire casino. Can't wait to return. Hope our luck is better next time.

Well run poker room, this casino is in its first year of operation and still learning.



Rooms are very nice, Steakhouse has great food although a little pricey. Buffet is very good and reasonably priced.



Table games well managed with friendly staff. Weekly tournaments in slots, blackjack and poker. Golf course will be opening summer of 2007. Wide range of offerings in event center.
